A full traditional funeral starts at $6,350 with the casket included. The number we publish is the number on your paperwork and I sign every arrangement myself.

General Price List & Service Area Pricing

Vargas-London publishes a full General Price List (GPL) as required by Texas and the FTC Funeral Rule. Pricing is identical across all communities we serve — Richardson, Plano, Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Garland, Arlington, and the greater DFW metroplex.

The full itemized list

Every professional service, transportation, merchandise and pass-through charge is published in full on our General Price List — effective 21 July 2026, print-ready, and free on request in person or by telephone, as the FTC Funeral Rule requires.

Veterans

Veterans: we file the VA burial allowance — up to $2,000 service-connected, $1,002 otherwise — and coordinate DFW National Cemetery honors at no charge for the plot. Veteran benefits details →

Life Insurance Assignment

Have life insurance? We file directly with the carrier — most families pay nothing out of pocket today. Bring the policy number, or even just the company name, and we handle the filing.

Pricing questions, answered

Why is each package one price instead of a long itemized bill?

Because bundling everything a family actually needs into one published number is the clearest way to keep our no-surprises promise. Direct Cremation at $1,750 already includes transfer into our care, professional services and permits, the cremation itself, a temporary urn, and one certified Texas death certificate. An itemized General Price List sits behind every package — you may request it at any time, and the arrangement paperwork lists every line.

What is a pass-through cost?

A charge we collect on your behalf and forward without markup — cemetery fees, medical examiner charges, and additional certified death certificates ($4 each) are common examples. Out-of-area transfer beyond 50 miles is billed at $2.00 per mile. Pass-throughs appear as their own lines on the Statement of Funeral Goods and Services, never buried inside a package price.

What are my rights under the General Price List rule?

The FTC Funeral Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 453) gives every consumer the right to itemized pricing before making any decision — by phone, in person, or in writing, at no charge. We publish our pricing on this page and provide the full itemized GPL on request, before any commitment is made.

Can life insurance pay for the funeral directly?

Yes, in most cases. Through insurance assignment, we file the claim directly with the carrier and the benefit pays the funeral home — most families pay nothing out of pocket today. Bring the policy number, or even just the company name, to the arrangement conference and we handle the filing.

Not sure which option fits? Call us.

No sales pitch. Our advisors will explain your options honestly — even if the right answer is a different funeral home.
