Privacy Policy

Privacy policy.

Effective September 2026. How we collect, use, protect, and share personal information.

What we collect

We collect only information you provide voluntarily through our contact forms, quote requests, pre-need arrangement documents, and phone calls: name, phone, email, ZIP, and any details you share about your situation or the loved one you are arranging services for. We also collect standard web analytics (pages visited, approximate location, browser) via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, and advertising measurement data through Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta and Nextdoor, as described under Cookies & tracking.

How we use it

We use what you provide to respond to your inquiry, provide funeral-home services, issue quotes, fulfill pre-need contracts, and comply with Texas and federal legal requirements (including Texas Health & Safety Code Chapter 716 and the FTC Funeral Rule). We do not sell or rent your information.

How we share it

We share personal information only with third parties necessary to provide the service you requested: the Texas Department of State Health Services (vital records), the attending physician or Medical Examiner (death certificate), cemeteries, clergy, crematories, insurance carriers, and the VA (for veteran benefits). We may also disclose information when required by subpoena, court order, or law.

Website chat: if you use the chat on this site, what you type (such as your name, phone number and message) is sent to our chat provider, LiveChat, which delivers it to our staff so we can reply.

Click-fraud protection: we use CHEQ (ClickCease) to spot fake or automated clicks on our ads. It records technical details of your visit, such as IP address, browser and device.

How we protect it

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and access controls on our internal systems. Our document retention schedule complies with Texas funeral-service and tax record requirements.

Your rights under Texas law

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) gives Texas residents the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold. Send requests to carlos.vargas@mydallasfuneralhome.com. We respond within 45 days.

Cookies & tracking

This site uses cookies and similar tools from Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Ads), Microsoft (Clarity and Advertising), Meta and Nextdoor. They show us which pages are visited and which of our ads led someone to call, text or send us a form. Meta and Nextdoor can also use those visits to show our ads to people who have been to this site.

When you send us a form, your email address and phone number are passed to Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising in scrambled (hashed) form, so they can tell us whether one of our ads led to your inquiry. Nothing else you write in the form is sent to them.

To opt out, use the button below or the Opt out button on the cookie notice. We also treat your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out automatically. Opting out stops these analytics and advertising tools in the browser you are using. It does not change how we handle an arrangement.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law changes. The "effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
