Lupe Amador Salazar

Lupe Amador Salazar, age 80, passed away on September 8, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 10, 1945, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Trini Amador.

Lupe was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, and attended Houston Sacred Heart Catholic School. She married Freddie Hernandez, Sr. in 1964, and the couple had three children. She was a Referral Specialist at Parkland, where she worked for several years.

In her spare time, Lupe enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and close friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved crafting wedding albums, thrifting, and collecting figurines. She enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood. She also loved her dogs.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a strong and caring woman who showed deep love for her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Trini Amador; her loving husband, Alfonso Salazar; her sister, Rosa; and her brothers, Santos, Danny, and Bobby.

She is survived by her sons, Freddie, Jr., Santos (Orelia), and Armando; her daughter, Tasha (Ray); her grandchildren, Nina, Evan, Jacob, Mia, Colton, Luke, Thalia, Jessica, Cristian, Tiffany, R.J., and Brooke; and her great-grandchildren.
