Efren Mireles

With deep sorrow, but also with love and gratitude for his life, we say goodbye to Efren Mireles, who passed away on October 15, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 70.

Efren was born on September 29, 1956, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Antonio Mireles and Rafaela Gutierrez, and was raised in Mexico.

In his spare time, Efren enjoyed arts and crafts, from carpentry and decorating mirrors to customizing and hand-stitching his jeans with patches. He loved putting together puzzles, reading El Libro Vaquero, and watching his favorite television shows.

His family and friends will always remember him as a kind, selfless, and generous man who put the needs of others before his own. He was strong, hardworking, and resilient, and never gave up until the very end. He was always willing to help and was deeply loved by those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Mireles.

He is survived by his mother, Rafaela Gutierrez; his daughter, Kasandra Mireles; and his siblings Javier, Silvia, Maria Concepcion, Lilia, Irma, Arturo, Leonel, Humberto, Antonio, Hector, and Marina.
