Ben Thorald Williams, age 88, passed away on September 16, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on December 19, 1937, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Ben and Ruth Williams.
Ben was raised in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and attended the University of Oklahoma in 1961. He served in the United States Marine Corps for six years.
He married Jane Tomlin in 1961, and the couple had three children. Ben was an artist, and he lived and worked in Kansas City, Missouri; Redding, California; and Dallas, Texas.
In his spare time, Ben enjoyed carving canes, drawing and painting, hunting, and reading the Bible. The son of a politician, he enjoyed talking to everyone.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving and caring husband and father, and as a patriot — he loved God and his country.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ruth Williams; and his brother, Laurence Thompson Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; and his brothers, Stephen, Philip, and Keith.

Visitation will be held at Vargas-London Funeral Home, 12101 Greenville Ave. Ste. 118, Dallas, TX 75243.

Services will be held at Dallas–Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
