Portrait of Abraham Arias Ramírez
Abraham Arias Ramírez

Abraham Arias Ramírez, age 79, passed away on October 1, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 10, 1947, in Hacienda de Espejo, Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Miguel Arias and Juana Ramírez, and was raised in Guanajuato.

In 1984 he married Rita Bautista de Arias, and together they had five children. He worked for the City of Farmers Branch for more than eight years before retiring.

Abraham will always be remembered as a generous and loving man whose greatest devotion was his family. He loved his wife, his children, his son-in-law, his daughter-in-law and his grandchildren unconditionally, and he worked tirelessly his whole life to provide for them, support them, and be present in their lives.

He will also be remembered for his joy, his sense of humor, and his optimistic way of seeing life. Even in difficult moments, Abraham found a reason to smile and keep going. It was hard to see him without a smile on his face — a smile that passed on joy and calm to everyone around him.

Even after losing the ability to walk, Abraham never let his disability define the way he lived or enjoyed life. He felt fulfilled, grateful and truly happy. He kept his optimism, his humor and his appetite for each day, showing by his example that happiness is also found in valuing what you have, in the love of family, and in life’s small moments.

He especially enjoyed those small pleasures, like his morning coffee. He found happiness in simple but meaningful things: a cup of coffee to start the day, time with his family, tending his garden, being outdoors, and Sunday Mass.

He was a hardworking man who took deep pride in caring for the people he loved. His generosity showed not only in what he gave, but in the way he lived — putting his family first, making sacrifices for them, and doing everything within his reach to be sure they never lacked his support.

His family will always remember his strength, his dedication, his optimism, his wit, and above all the unconditional love he felt for them — his smile, his good humor, the way he enjoyed life, and the everyday moments that are now priceless memories.

The life Abraham built and the values he passed on will go on living through his children, his son-in-law, his daughter-in-law and his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed, but his smile, his lessons, his strength, his love and every memory he shared with his family will remain in their hearts and in the generations that carry on his legacy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Miguel Arias and Juana Ramírez. He is survived by his wife, Rita Bautista de Arias; their five children; his son-in-law and daughter-in-law; and his grandchildren.
