Vargas-London hosts and attends community events throughout the year — grief support, pre-planning workshops, veteran observances, cultural heritage events, and continuing-education programs for funeral industry peers. Events are open to all DFW families unless otherwise noted.

Past and recurring events we host or support
Monthly grief support circle
Free, facilitated grief support group for families who have lost a loved one in the past 12 months. First Tuesday of each month, 6:30–7:30 p.m. at our Dallas office. No registration required. Light refreshments provided.
Annual veteran honor evening
Each November (around Veterans Day), we host an evening honoring the veterans we have been privileged to serve and their families. Includes a reading of names, taps, and flag presentation. Location: our Dallas chapel.
Quarterly pre-planning workshop
A 90-minute workshop walking through pre-need planning: documenting your wishes, understanding pre-funding options, Texas preneed trusts, and the forms your family will need. Free, includes a printed workbook. Quarterly schedule varies — email to be notified.
Continuing education for DFW clergy and chaplains
Twice yearly, we offer a breakfast-and-session program for Dallas–Fort Worth clergy, chaplains, and pastoral care staff: current Texas funeral law, cremation practice, multi-faith coordination updates, and Q&A. By invitation; email to be added to our clergy list.
Dia de los Muertos community observance
Each November 1-2, we partner with Hispanic congregations across the DFW metroplex to support Dia de los Muertos observances, including ofrendas assistance and communal memorials.
Hosting your own event
Our chapel seats up to 150 and our reception area accommodates 75. Outside of active service use, the space is available at no charge for:
- Family memorial anniversaries (1-year, 5-year, etc.)
- Community grief support gatherings
- Religious study and pastoral care groups
- Hospice and palliative-care team meetings
